Ben’s cookie fundraiser was incredibly successful! Ben and his family combined a fundraiser with an awareness event. They took cookie preorders and sold cookies and beverages near their home. They set up a few ASPIRE posters at their table and educated their customers about PANS PANDAS. Ben’s mom said, “Ben’s Cookie Fundraiser raised $2582 for ASPIRE but more importantly I was connected to a newly diagnosed child’s mom and also another mom who thinks her child could have PANDAS. And lots of people learned about PANS PANDAS which was the intent of the fundraiser. It was such a wonderful day!”

About this Super Family!
Ben is not the only amazing kid in the family. Read about his superstar sibling, Max. This story will fill your heart. He really tells us like it is. That PANS PANDAS is hard – really hard – but working together as a family makes an incredible difference. I know we have many families with kids who will soon be adults and they will truly change the face of PANS PANDAS advocacy. There is so much hope for our incredible community.
Ben’s mom wrote a story about their journey to diagnosis. It really highlights the need for awareness and understanding about this devastating but treatable illness. Recently, she shared the second part of her journey to let other parents know there is light at the end of the tunnel, and during the healing journey, they are seen and heard, even on days filled with doom and gloom. Healing from PANDAS is possible!
