HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Gov. Ned Lamont (D) signed legislation Tuesday requiring Connecticut insurance policies to cover certain health conditions and medical treatments, ranging from prosthetic devices to chemotherapy hair loss prevention.

October 4, 2026My daughter is 23 , I had hoped she would have out grown PANS PANDAS by now, If she had the right medical care when this started age 7 maybe this would true , maybe the marriage would have survived , maybe her sibling wouldn’t be traumatized , maybe Id have time to find another partner, maybe Id have a robust retirement plan because I could fully focus on earning a living , maybe my adult children would have more of the good times , vacations, etc. , maybe ,Id have a home instead of renting , maybe our health would be better, maybe my 23 yo wouldn’t be so traumatized , fear of getting sick , washing her hands constantly, traumatized from psych wards she should have never been in that did much more harm than good and traumatized by the ” providers and doctors that said “I don’t” treat PANS and just let her fully decompensate into frank psychosis and let her loose years of her life” traumatized by invalidation , gaslighting , threats that Im too much , to much advocating , maybe she wouldn’t be in a group home now from lack of PANS treatment when she needed it most but got antipsychotics instead. We started this journey over a decade ago.. and we are still fighting as hard now as we did then..IVIG was approved in 2021, we finally got it in after covid infection cause the worst flare of her life, 2023 . Finally she had a year of IVIG got her to baseline, a miracle, a life restored , a family restored, no antipsychotics , then she got stuck in a ward because her school traumatized her ..NO “we dont do IVIG here ” more illness there , mold now, and it starts again…
