About this webinar: This will be an overview of psychiatric medication for children with neuroimmune disorders, including PANS/PANDAS. Medication categories and what symptoms they target, side effect issues, and dosing strategies specific to neuroimmune disorders will be reviewed.
About Peggy Chapman, RN
Margaret (Peggy) Chapman is a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Board Certified, in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing. Peggy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Creighton University in 1976. In 1982 she graduated from Boston University with a Master of Science in Nursing and was certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in 1983. She has worked in various capacities in the Omaha and the Boston areas being a Nurse Manager of Child, Adolescent, and Adult psychiatric units. She has been a child, adolescent, and adult therapist and has done psychopharmacology for all ages since 1998. Peggy recently closed her private practice of 16 years in Hingham, MA to pursue her “retirement plan”. Joining with Melissa McCormack, MD, and Sheilah Gauch, LICSW, M. Ed., they opened Bridge Consultants. Using their extensive experience with neuroimmune disorders, Bridge Consultants diagnoses and treats children with neuroimmune disorders and treatment-resistant mental health symptoms. In the future, In addition to directly treating patients, they will be recruiting other health care professionals to train them on how to provide this specialized care.
