Why This Matters
Mental health awareness must include a broader understanding of underlying medical conditions.
For some, symptoms that appear psychiatric may have a neuroimmune cause, such as PANS or PANDAS. Expanding awareness helps families access appropriate care sooner and reduces unnecessary suffering.
