Goal

My hope is that parents will be better prepared to avoid dangerous situations and be able successfully navigate their way around an increasingly difficult system, which is laden with child abuse pediatricians who want to medically kidnap sick children. Knowledge is power. Understand the legal risks posed when children are medically complex. Parents who attend and read my book should be better able to avoid dangerous situations, immediately identify when they are in trouble, and take the appropriate steps at every juncture.

About Beth Alison Maloney, Esq.

Beth Alison Maloney, Esq. is a practicing attorney and author.  In parent friendly style, she has written three books that have pushed forward change in the medical and legal fields. All three books have a direct impact on the PANS/PANDAS community.  Saving Sammy, her memoir, brought the disorder to national attention in 2009.  She shared the gripping truth of PANDAS and what it took to fully recover her son.  Childhood Interrupted is a guidebook for parents of children with PANDAS/PANS.  Based on the thousands of inquiries she received, it offers parents a roadmap to finding doctors, treatment, and understanding the disorder.  Protecting Your Child from the Child Protection System is a whistleblower of a book.  Born of necessity, the book opens the closed doors of the child protection system.  Part III of the book is entirely devoted to Medically Complex Children.  False allegations of “medical child abuse” are consistently thrown at the parents of PANS/PANDAS children by child abuse pediatricians.  Marching in step with those false accusers, state child protection agencies then arbitrarily remove children from their homes.  Ms. Maloney is determined to empower parents with the information they need to fight back and keep their children.
