SB628 Passed!

On May 29, 2023, Oregon’s Senate Bill 628 for IVIG Coverage for PANDAS/PANS passed in the House. Previously, on May 19, 2022, Oregon’s Health Evidence Review Committee voted to ADOPT the guidance put forth for IVIG Coverage for PANDAS/PANS. The Oregon HERC is the body responsible for determining what will be covered by Medicaid and what will not.

Previous Call To Action

Insurance denials and delayed medical care for children suffering from PANDAS/PANS should not be acceptable. ALL insurers in our state should be held responsible for ensuring medical treatment for children’s healthcare is provided. It is time to ensure there is equality in who can access medical treatment beyond those on Medicaid and those who can afford to pay privately. Working families who are battling this disorder and fighting to get their child back need ALL legislators to stand up in support of SB 628 so that their child, too, has a chance for healing.

Please follow NWPPN for all the work they are doing and for the current call-to-action items. So if you live in Oregon, please participate, and even if you live in another state, especially surrounding states, the legislators in those states are observing the work in Oregon.
