On May 19, 2022, Oregon’s Health Evidence Review Committee voted to ADOPT the guidance put forth for IVIG Coverage for PANDAS/PANS. The Oregon HERC is the body responsible for determining what will be covered by Medicaid and what will not.
Please support SB 628, which will align commercial and individual insurers in Oregon with that for which the state provides for children on Medicaid.
NWPPN has secured endorsements received for the Oregon Senate Bill 628-ensuring parity in healthcare coverage for the sickest children with PANDAS/PANS who require treatment with IVIG (aligning with State of Oregon Medicaid coverage).

Call To Action
Insurance denials and delayed medical care for children suffering from PANDAS/PANS should not be acceptable. ALL insurers in our state should be held responsible for ensuring medical treatment for children’s healthcare is provided. It is time to ensure there is equality in who can access medical treatment beyond those on Medicaid and those who can afford to pay privately. Working families who are battling this disorder and fighting to get their child back need ALL legislators to stand up in support of SB 628 so that their child, too, has a chance for healing.
NWPPN will make an update on specifics for the next steps.
SB628
