Thank you so much to the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation for inviting ASPIRE to speak at this month’s OSPF Webinar. It was truly an honor to begin this important conversation about PANS, PANDAS, and suicide risk.
With over 200 individuals registered, it’s clear that there is a strong commitment in Ohio to expanding understanding and improving safety for children and young adults. We firmly believe that greater awareness, timely recognition, and access to appropriate medical care can help reduce suicide attempts and suicidal behaviors in this population.
PANS and PANDAS are neuroimmune disorders that can cause sudden and severe psychiatric, behavioral, and developmental symptoms. Understanding early warning signs and treatment pathways is essential to promoting safety and recovery.
OSPF will be distributing the recorded version of the webinar along with information regarding continuing education requirements and post-session questions.
We are grateful to everyone who attended and to OSPF for creating space for this conversation.
