Professional Advisory Board Highlight

ASPIRE is so grateful for every member of our PAB. They are working hard for our community on projects that will directly benefit patients, providers, educators, and caregivers. We will be featuring advisory board members to highlight current work and projects, even those not directly related to PANS PANDAS.

Anu French’s, MD, FAAP, ABoIM, an Integrative Pediatrics at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Pediatrics in St Louis MO, is a featured doctor and artist in the virtual exhibit, Portraits of Unsung Heroes Women of Color on the Front Lines. The virtual exhibit is viewable until Jan 3, 2021.

“The goal of this project is to challenge the narrative about who in this country is on the front lines of the fight against COVID 19 by honoring women of color physicians with portraits reflecting their determination, talent and tireless work. The project works by having women of color physicians from around the country submit photos of themselves in the PPE they don each day and then recruiting local artists who transform these photos into art. Each portrait is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices these women make daily to serve the communities in which they live and work.”  Compilation of all the art can be seen at WOC on the Frontlines.
