Seeking Participants: Research Study on the Impact of PANS/PANDAS on Parents
Parenting a child with PANS or PANDAS is a journey filled with challenges, resilience, and hope. Noelle Preston, a senior Psychology student at North Central University, understands this firsthand through her extended family’s experience. As part of her senior project, Noelle is conducting a qualitative research study on the impact of raising a child with PANS/PANDAS on parental well-being.
This study aims to raise much-needed awareness of the effects of these neuroimmune disorders on children, their parents, and their families. Noelle is inviting parents to participate in a short interview to share their personal stories.
Whether your child is:
- Currently navigating symptoms,
- On the road to recovery
- Fully recovered as an adult
Your insights are invaluable. By sharing your experience, you can contribute to a better understanding of how PANS/PANDAS affects families and inspire further support and research.
How to Participate:
If you or someone you know is interested in contributing to this important study, please contact Noelle directly:
- Phone: 612-552-4236
- Email: noelle.preston@mail.northcentral.edu
Your voice can make a difference in raising awareness and fostering change. Please share this opportunity with other families who might want to participate.

December 7, 2024I would be willing to talk with you. We are raising our 10 yr old grandson. He was about6 yrs old when diagnosed. Although we feel he has had it for many years before the official diagnosis. You can contact me by email or phone, if I don’t answer please leave a message. We homeschool him and 2 months ago we were given custody of his 6 week old sister, so it gets a little busy at times.
