FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) – – The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Bridge is lit up green Thursday night to raise awareness for Pediatric Acute-Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) and Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS).
“When families are dealing with this disorder, sometimes they feel very alone,” Failor says. “By having the MLK Bridge lit up, it’s just a way for us to say, ‘hey – these kids are here and they need proper diagnosis and they need proper treatment’.”
