Additional complementary therapies are used alongside conventional PANS PANDAS treatments to complement their effectiveness.

Complementary therapies may help patients remain functional during a flare. Between flares, complementary treatments may help a patient regain skills lost during exacerbations. The entire family often needs to employ supportive therapies for themselves. Parents and siblings often need therapy to help cope with stress and develop strategies to help their child or sibling.
