Michael McCartney

Vice-President

Michael McCartney serves as ASPIRE’s Vice President and focuses on organizational strategy, community engagement, communications, and fundraising.

Mike has spent the majority of his career in healthcare marketing and management. With experience launching breakthrough therapeutics in disease-states ranging from immunology, oncology, and diabetes, Mike has an acute understanding of the need to equip caregivers, families, and patients with the knowledge to advance care and the resources to support those in need.

Mike resides in the Chicago suburbs with his wife, Jana, daughter Maya, and their son Caden, diagnosed with PANDAS at 11. Like so many, they experienced the challenges of getting an accurate diagnosis, gaining access and coverage for the appropriate care, determining the optimal treatment protocols, and navigating the educational system. Mike is committed to building awareness and advocacy to help others minimize their suffering and start healing.

Mike enjoys spending time with his family and friends, coaching youth sports, enjoying the outdoors in the woods and on the water, and usually has a home renovation project or two going on around the house.
